About Keltech

Our Approach

We've said it on our home page, but we just cannot stress it enough: we are here to support you. As such, our approach to all of our creative services is to build upon your vision, regardless of how developed that vision may be.

If you need creative ideas, we’ll be happy to assist you in the brainstorming process, either by sitting down with you or working independently. On the other hand, if you already have your idea, but need our assistance in the execution, we would be glad to follow your direction as we move forward on your project.

In a nutshell, our approach puts you first.

The Write Effects System

Our Write Effects System is a custom-designed process for crafting written work. The system is founded on the belief that effective writing emerges from a cycle of writing and revision.

With the Write Effects System, we work through nine different steps, beginning with conceptual brainstorming and finishing with approvals from you. These nine steps are as follows:

  1. CONCEPT – We start with an idea, usually provided by you (or an agent working on your behalf).
  2. DRAFT – Once a concept is established, we will write an initial draft. At this point, the piece is still very rough and will likely undergo drastic changes.
  3. EDIT 1 – At this stage, we really dig into the initial draft, tearing it apart and reassembling and rewriting it as required.
  4. EDIT 2 – In the second stage of editing, we consider the flow and logic of the piece, revising as necessary.
  5. EDIT 3 – At this stage, consider the word choice and tone of the piece, revising it in order to appeal most strongly to your target audience.
  6. EDIT 4 – This final stage of editing involves revision for grammar and syntax.
  7. PROOFREAD 1 – We’re almost done, now. At this stage, the author takes the piece to his peers for proofreading. An extra set of eyes is always the author’s best friend.
  8. PROOFREAD 2 – In the second proofread, the author proofreads the piece him/herself. Ideally, this final proofing would be at least 48 hours removed from the last time he or she worked on the piece.*
  9. APPROVAL – The final stage is to seek approval from the client. If any revisions are required, we can return to the appropriate step and repeat process from that point.

For simplicity’s sake, this outline of the system is built under the assumption that we would be taking care of the entire writing process, from concept right up to the final proofreading. However, there is no reason that the Write Effects System cannot be used in collaborative effort between you and us.

Remember, we’re here to support you, and the beauty of the Write Effects System is that we can vary the degree of that support stage by stage to meet your unique needs and comfort levels!

* Though 48 hours is ideal, since it helps to separate the author from his/her work and allows for greater objectivity in proofreading, we do recognize that this kind of time is not always available. In such cases, we remain committed to maintain the highest quality in all of our work.

"Vector Mailbox" - This vector image was created as a concept for an ad that never evolved much past conception. Using a photograph, the texture for the mailbox was created and then multiplied across the various exterior surfaces in order to give the image a sense of depth and realism.
